The Nigerian University Games in partnership with Gamr Africa will host Nigeria first Varsity Esports championship, scheduled for the 8th – 9th of December 2021 at the University of Lagos Indoor Hall, Sports center, Akoka Lagos.
Students in Lagos are encouraged to register on the gamr.africa to take have a chance at winning the N100,000 naira price money up for grabs. Events will start at 12 noon on day 1.
GAMR is a technology company with specialty in Electronic Sports (eSports), Tournament Organization and eSports talent development. GAMR is interested in pursuing eSports talent development and tournament organization in Universities across Nigeria.
NUGA is the body responsible for organising interuniversity sports competitions called the University Games. across Nigeria, which is ideally relevant to GAMR in reaching its goal.
The championship is set to attract over 100 students in the Lagos metropolis. Participants are required to present their students identification cards before accessing the games hall.
All Covid 19 protocols will be duly followed as participants are expected to wear a mask at all times.
