Federation of African University sports on 12th of June 2021, lost one of its prominent members, from the Tertiary Institute Sports Association of Namibia (TISAN) President Mr. Jeffery Edmond Wenner. Who succumbed to his battles with Covid 19.
Jeffery was the sport officer of University of Namibia (UNAM). He was a member of the Namibia Sport Commission representing university Sports on the board. Jeffery was a founding member of TISAN and highly intelligent and seasonal sports coach and Administration.
He played Rugby for Western Cape Cobra’s and the Namibian national side. He specialised Physical training in Rugby, Athletics, Soccer and Tennis.
The Sports fraternity will miss his great contributed to the growth and mentorship of the next generation in Namibian through sports.
He led several international competitions in Namibia, notably the Confederation of University and College Sports Association (CUCSA) Games and FASU championships as well as the FISU Rugby 7 championships.
He was friend to all and will be remembered by the entire international university Sports body. He will be laid to rest on Saturday 19th of June 2021.

President of the Federation of African University sports Ms Nomsa Mahlangu said “Indeed one of the great players for African advancement and unity, especially within the University Sport Movement is no more. Sincere condolences to his family, UNAM, TISAN, CUCSA, FASU, FISU and his Rugby families.
