The 2021 edition of the Federation of African University Sports (FASU) under the world governing body of university sports FISU, has rolled out plans for the events making up the FASU Championships with the first of them holding in October with and three more events follow afterwards.

The events for the FASU Championships start with the 2nd FASU Rugby 7s Championship to be held between 9th and 10th October, 2021 at Makerere University, in the city of Kampala, Uganda. The game will serve as a continental qualifying tournament for the FISU university World Cup to be held in Kazan, Russia from 12th-14th August, 2022.

The 2nd FASU Tennis Championship follows as the next event to be held from 8th-10th October at the same venue as the Rugby 7s Championship with the host Federation the Association of Uganda University Sports ensuring the organization is top.

3×3 Basketball follows and the 4th FASU Afro Varsity 3x3Basketball takes Centre court within the 6th and 7th of November 2021 at the United States International University- Africa in the city of Nairobi, Kenya. The FIBA endorsed event will see competition in both the men and women category in a medal and award winning tournament of African Universities.

The last FASU Championship event to be held will the the 5th FASU Crosscountry Championship on the 20th of November 2021, at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology. The city of Juja, Kenya will be all out to receive and witness an entertaining event.

Two other events which were in view to hold have been cancelled by the Federations are the 1st FASU Football Championship and the 2nd FASU Badminton Championship even as the celebration of the Federation at 50 comes up later this year 2021.
