FISU and the Organising Committee (OC) of Ekateringburg 2023 FISU World University Games have agreed on a common date for the Head of Delegations (HoD) meeting which will take place on 25-28 April 2023. The FISU Games will take place on 8-19 August 2023 in Ekateringburg (RUS), a city which has already hosted several FISU events.

The HoD meeting will reunite delegation officials from around the world in the city to offer them a glimpse of what they can be expected for the FISU Games. The OC will share updates on their progression, the infrastructure and the organisation surrounding the event. This is also a time where delegations can submit their questions to the OC and best prepare for their trip to Ekaterinburg in August 2023.

For the first time this year, an artistic programme has been set-up with three categories: music, dance and public art. The Programme aims to bring together creative young people from all over the world and discover new talents. It will draw attention not only to sport but also to the cultural and spiritual development of young people.

The Ekaterinburg OC is already building its way towards hosting the FISU Games in its best possible light, as it will be organising the very first edition of the FISU World Cup Combat Sports on 29 September-8 October 2022.
